The Founder
It started with wine. Years spent working in the Italian wine trade brought me back to Italy again and again, to its producers, its tables, its rhythms, until the country stopped feeling like somewhere I visited and started feeling like somewhere I belonged. I eventually got married in Florence, in the centre of the city I love most, because there was nowhere else I could imagine it happening. That relationship, specific, personal, built over decades, is what Innamo is made of.
I know which Florentine trattoria the locals actually eat in, and which ones they quietly avoid. I know the Sicilian masseria that looks extraordinary in photographs and delivers on every one of them. I know the Val d’Orcia in autumn, the Amalfi Coast before the season, and the parts of Puglia that don’t yet have a gift shop.
Not every recommendation comes from me personally. Italy is large, and I’m honest about that. The places I haven’t experienced myself are covered by a small circle of trusted local contacts I’ve spent years cultivating. What every recommendation shares is the same standard: it has to be worth your time.
Innamo exists because the Italy most people visit and the Italy worth visiting are not always the same place. Closing that gap is my job, and my genuine pleasure.
